Stacey stands backstage with a microphone in her hand, Metal Dragon sitting in a steel chair at her side in his ring gear. The attractive young announcer begins speaking.
"I'm here backstage with Metal Dragon, who showed up last week with some pretty harsh words about VWE. My first question is, well... Why'd you show up here in the first place if you hate it so much?"
MD snickers as the microphone is moved in front of his face, then promptly spits out his answer.
"Simple. The love of money transcends hate. In fact, you could say I love to hate people like Ryan Hughes, Chris Pederoso, , and the countless other jokers that have made names for themselves under the three letters known as V-W-E. Destroying people that I despise that much is like opening presents on Christmas as a little kid, except that instead of wrapping paper, I'm tearing away their flesh and watching in glee as it drips all over the canvas and they writhe around in the pain that I've subjected them to."
Stacey retracts the mic to field her next inquiry.
"Well, at the upcoming VWE pay-per-view, Morning Glory, you're going to face Martin Prince. Later tonight, though, you're going to take on Ryan Hughes in a no-disqualifications match in the main event. Any thoughts on those two bouts?"
"Martin Prince and I go way back, but the only time we've ever been in the same ring was when I saved his ass against Xantaxm over in GHW. I can't wait to fight him, not because of a love of friendly competition or anything, but because he is a thankless son of a bitch. I saved him his job, he offered me absolutely no gratitude, and then made all my work for naught by pissing off from GHW when all was said and done. I really am looking forward to rattling his jaw, jarring his brain around in his head like a pinball between two bumpers, and suplexing him until he gets motion sickness. Now..."
Dragon grips the microphone and pries it from his interviewer's hand, then stands up.
"The Chief Batmanite, Ryan Hughes... Tonight, you and I face off one-on-one for the very first time. You're all mine. I don't have to share the joy of the eviscerating you with a tag partner this time, but the result will certainly be the same. Smarky Smark made a wise decision by putting me in a main event, but a poor business decision by throwing you in front of me. Tonight, Ryan... Tonight you'll feel two arms wrapping around your head, you'll feel yourself descend, and then you'll wake up in a white room surrounded by nurses with a little tube in your arm. I don't know if you're a religious man, but if you are, pray for forgiveness and mercy tonight. I'm certainly not going to offer you any."
The Man of Golden Words hands the microphone back to Stacey and puts his hands together, cracking his knuckles while he stares a hole through the camera lens.
"Dragon seems ready for the main event against Ryan Hughes tonight. Now let's get back to the action."
The camera feed switches to the ring area, another match being imminent.
